Pakistan lost, India meets Sri Lanka in World Cup Final

India has maintained its unbeaten record against Pakistan in World Cup cricket, ensuring 29-run victory in the tent of Wednesday's semi-final in Mohali to set up title clash with Sri Lanka.

Sachin Tendulkar rode his luck to 85 and Suresh Raina contributed a key cameo (36 steps) under pressure to help his side score 260 for nine after winning the toss. Although it may seem under-par total, the bowlers have done their part to give India its fifth World Cup victory to its traditional rival. Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh shared the points, winning two each.

Saturday's match in Mumbai, will be the third appearance of India in the World Cup.

Pakistan seemed in control when he began his persecution keenly. Opener Kamran Akmal and Mohammad Hafeez looked comfortable against the new ball as they put on the 44th India needed a lift - Zaheer did the job, having taken Akmal slower ball.

Hafeez (43) and Asad Shafiq (30) and Fly, but declined to try running too ambitious. When Yuvraj came from Khan Yunis to launch a drive to Suresh Raina Pakistan had slipped to 106 for four. India tightened the screws causes the application rate of climb.

Umar Akmal (29), to relieve the pressure. But just when it seemed that India would pay for the absence of Stan, Harbhajan struck a young talented batsman. When Misbah-ul-Haq (56) are in trouble, MS Dhoni, the process only to get the wickets Abdul Razzaq and Shahid Afridi put the result beyond doubt.

Misbah chance his arm, but he had left his charge too late. Pakistan has been seduced by 231 to 49.5 overs.

India earlier had an electric start, with Virender Sehwag (38), but subsequently ruled Pakistan have fought. If men had had their catch Afridi - Tendulkar fell four times - that would have bothered to India beyond.

Wahab Riaz (five for 46) kept Pakistan in the competition with a fine display of bowling left-arm quick. After getting rid of dangerous Sehwag in his first over, Riaz later struck twice in two balls, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj removed to reduce India to 141 for four.

Off spinner Saeed Ajmal was the excellent, well, she deserved better than the figures of two to 44 from 10 overs. Was almost twice as Tendulkar in successive balls 23. The teacher has been deemed "IPN" at the earliest opportunity, but a review was the decision annulled. Pakistan call for a stump next ball. The third arbitrator has decided justly a source of almost the drummer.

Tendulkar then pardoned three times Afridi's leg-spin: 27 Misbah fell after the attacker must not drag on the ground, is 45, while Younis Khan paid loft units, and 70 while wicketkeeper Kamran Akmal took the difficult option. Tendulkar had another moment of happiness, is 81, while Omar Hafeez bowling Akmal catches off, before his luck ran out.
