Pakistan lost, India meets Sri Lanka in World Cup Final

India has maintained its unbeaten record against Pakistan in World Cup cricket, ensuring 29-run victory in the tent of Wednesday's semi-final in Mohali to set up title clash with Sri Lanka.

Sachin Tendulkar rode his luck to 85 and Suresh Raina contributed a key cameo (36 steps) under pressure to help his side score 260 for nine after winning the toss. Although it may seem under-par total, the bowlers have done their part to give India its fifth World Cup victory to its traditional rival. Zaheer Khan, Ashish Nehra, Munaf Patel, Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh shared the points, winning two each.

Saturday's match in Mumbai, will be the third appearance of India in the World Cup.

Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani arrived in India to watch the Cricket World Cup

Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani, has arrived in India Wednesday to watch the Cricket World Cup match between two teams of neighboring nuclear rival tries to repair relations with the wounded in the 2008 terrorist attacks in Mumbai.

"We all need to enjoy cricket," Gilani told reporters after landing in Chandigarh, Punjab, near the city of Mohali, which hosts the semifinal between India and Pakistan.
